The First Blog Entry is Coming Soon!

Hello out there in cyberland. I would like to take this moment and give you a preview as to what this blog is going to contain once I get it up and rolling on a regular ( weekly ) basis.

I am going to comment on the homeless in Chicago, the schools in Chicago, the cops in Chicago ( I support them 100% of the time, but I have a few not so positive comments about certain "bad apples" on the force, the University of Illinois at Chicago, the CTA ( Chicago Transit Authority ), Mayor Richard J. Daley, The ( Incompetent ) Chicago City Council, Chicago politicians such as ( Odd ) Todd Stroger, Barack Obama, Dick "Turbin" Durbin, Rod Blagoyovich (our current inept and corrupt governor, etc., etc., fraudulent community leaders (???) like Jesse Jackson, "Father"  Michael Pflager, and a host of other characters that would be unbelievable anywhere in the world outside of New York City or San Francisco.

As you can see, just listing a mere portion of all the things and people in this city that irritate me to no end on a daily basis is enough to fill up a monumental blog in ad of itself. Suffice to say that I will constrain myself and only write commentaries of reasonable length about no more than one or two subjects at a time.

As crazy as things are in this (once) great city...it was in days long past not inundated with aggressive panhandlers, daytime garbage can divers, holier than thou minority group members, more illegal immigrants than there are citizens in Mexico City, Mexico, a clean downtown, young people who have taken at least the appearance of "thug life" to heart in both fashion and social attitude, left wing, politically correct, bleeding heart liberal children of the brain addled hippies of the sixties, and pushy homosexuals whose claims of being "completely normal" disturbs me a bit. Have I offended everyone in Chicago yet? Ha! Just wait ntil you read my first real blog, which should be online within a few days.

Before I sign off though, I would like to make a comment on a national talk show host who has recently upset me to a great degree with his verbal tap dancing on the subject of public reaction to police law enforcement. I am referring to loudmouth pseudo-conservative Michael Savage (Weiner) whose rants and raves are sometimes very hilarious, but they also often include statements that perhaps give us, the listeners, a clue as to his "true colors." On Tuesday, September 18, 2007, Mr. Savage was in a big huff over the tasering of an individual who would not  leave a microphone  when requested to do so at an appearance by John Kerry at the University of Florida. While I agree with Savage that the female university cop should not have tasered the individual, and that she is better suited (physically) for a law enforcement desk job, I take Savage to task for stating that in his opinion "the crowd should have jumped the police." Yes, those were his exact words. Those words angered me so much that I hastily fired off an email to Mr. Savage which he has not bothered to respond to either on or off the air. Instead, today, Wednesday, September 19, 2007, he opened his show with a rant about how brutal the university police were, how innocent the male offender was ( Savage harped on, and on about the offenders "free speech rights," and how cowardly he felt John Kerry was for not standing up and demanding that the university police release the young man and let him continue his disruption of the meeting ). Not a single word or mea culpa about his "slip of the tongue" 24 hours earlier when he suggested that "the crowd should have jumped the police." And to make matters worse, towards the end of the first half hour of his program on Wednesday evening ( 5:26 pm to be exact ) he took a caller who described a personal recollection of himself and a group of other beating up security cops that he / they felt were abusing an arrestee. Wow, you would think that "arch-conservative" and Ph.D. holder ( his oft asserted self description ) Michael Savage would have said something along the lines of, "whoa, my friend, I am in no way an advocate of, or an instigator of, mob rule or vigilante street justice." Nah, he actually agreed with the caller and gave him a bit of praise for having beat up some cops on the street with his buddies. I knew then that no one in this life will ever hear an apology from Michael Weiner / Savage for saying to a national audience that "the crowd should have jumped the police" on September 18th. Instead what we will get are his constant reminders that he has "always been a supporter of the police throughout his career." Let's just say he has "always" been a supporter of the police when convenient ( like a few weeks ago when all those ( reprehensible in my opinion ) illegal immigrant supporters protested around his radio studio and he, Savage, had to go in hiding ). Oh, Michael Weiner / Savage really supports cops when his butt is over the fire. Hmmm!

Ah, I could go on, but I think you readers out there can see why I am so bothered by the loose-lipped, hypocritical, self-promoting, constantly chest-beating and flag waving Mr. Weiner / Savage. He hides behind "free speech rights" when convenient, and blusters and tap dances around his sometimes dangerous verbal rantings when they are brought to the light of truth.  It is my belief that a lot of cops and real conservatives out there who bought into Michael Savage's "SAVAGE NATION" bully pulpit will never again listen to him with any degree of belief or true support. We will laugh at some of his "stand-up radio" comedy rants, but we won't believe for a second his "I support the police, the military, the conservative American family, and the core "roots" of this great country" line of contrived bull.

Michael Savage, you exposed yourself my friend. I suggest you think twice before calling the cops when trouble comes knocking on your door in the future ( from all of the wacky left wingers and foreign fanatics that you merrily dump on every chance you get ). As a certain press secretary said a few years back, "...watch what you say!"

Coming soon..More Night Beat Chicago. Feel free to comment on this one if you wish to.
